Target: WCAG 2.1 AA
What we aim for
We are working towards WCAG 2.1 AA. We have not yet completed a formal audit, so this is a statement of intent rather than a claim of conformance. This page will be updated when that audit is done.
What is already in place
Every button and link has a tap target at least 44 pixels high. The whole site can be used with a keyboard, and focus is visible. Each piece of text declares the language it is actually in, so a screen reader pronounces Marathi as Marathi and English as English. Devanagari is set larger and with more line spacing, because the matras above and below the baseline need the room.
Low bandwidth
Most of the people this site is for are on a phone, often on a patchy network. So the pages carry almost no JavaScript and few images — and the whole site, including switching language, works with JavaScript turned off.
